JS Bach Handwritten Scores?

how do you feel when you listen to ....

    I can only recommend one CD to you, it is Baroque Recorder Concertos by Pamela Thorby. A great CD by the way!!!

    a big characteristic of baroque music was improvisation – often songs would be in outline form, with the chords sketched out and the bass notes written underneath them, with the performers expected to add the ornamentation on top.

    and ornamentation is key to the baroque style. I wish i could give you more than this, but last time I looked into it that was the most I got out of it – lots of ornamentation, mostly improvised.

    The first movement of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater Dolorosa would be powerful. It has dynamic contrasts and long, long stretching melody lines that would look beautiful in dance form.
