I have a dated recording by the Leonhardt Consort and I find it disappointingly slow. I’m glad to hear this at a livelier tempo – and one that perhaps would be more to the two master’s intended pace…
what went wrong with the recording? no 2nd part en twice the 3th part? wonderfull music and performance though
Vivaldi is the Master …..Bach is a genius , a student of great master genius.
The magical rythmn genius . Bach! Pls grow with this legacey . If you have ever taken a ==test // you will discover this riddle to be easily solved
11 minutes well spent
so this is Bach arrangement of one of vivaldi’s comp?
If it is, then no wonder is so fantastic!
Bach/Vivaldi is just great
@KSZV – can’t agree more….
The best co-production ever in musical history.
The 2nd movement has been removed. That’s like serving someone a coke without a cup.
It’s hard to write a masterpiece, but it might be even harder to improve one already so close to perfection… Bach ftw
@shadowkunt this is no laughing matter friend.
I dont want to be hatin’ on bach but I saw the original Vivaldi violin concerto live and it was The coolest thing you could ever hear.
well, i dont think you can say that this was just good “back in the days” (to whatever days you might refer). but personally i do not think there is better “stuff” being made, simply different stuff.
i only gave this video 3 stars. it was good back in the day but these days there is better stuff out there.
this is actually vivaldi, arranged for harpsichord by bach.
