In my opinion, classical music is wayyyyyyy too old Lady Gaga is much better. and its weird to cry while listening to music.Schizophenic maybe?
That’s beautiful… I almost cried during the 2nd movement… It’s really well played !! Congratulations for this ! I’d played it, and I know how difficult it is…

Beautifully done, Bravo! This is one of my favorite pieces by Bach. I plan to hear this in April, performed by Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society. Classical music performed live is a magical experience!
Zounds!!!! This is truly wonderful stuff …… and best of all it’s the first time i’ve ever heard it!!!!! In 35 years of listening to Bach and the Boyz, this beautiful piece has never drifted into my sphere of knowledge – until now. Thank you SO much Ms. Lizard, for posting this fine performance of a seemingly seldom heard masterpiece.
I know, once you quit violin for a while, you hands lose the skill you worked hard to achieve in a few days (or years). It takes time, my friend, to relearn. Don’t worry about it too much.
She plays so expressively!
That’s how Bach should be played. He was not just a composer, but an outstanding musician and a passionate man (so many children!!). Passionate musicians do not play strictly to tempo. So much of Bach’s music was written in the style of the dance music of his time and he loved music-making with amateurs as well as with his professional peers.
He would have approved of this performance – and would have flirted with this beautiful, talented young violinist!
this concerto is arranged for violins in one instance
and for harpsichords in another
noob
Well, it IS a Baroque piece… I guess harpsichord adds that “Baroque feeling” to it?
I know, this takes me back too!!
I learned this when I was 14. It was a solo and ensemble standard.
