Which fugue is famous for having been just an improvisation of his? thanks! From what I’ve been told so far he was an organ virtuoso. He was also excellent in improvisation. He would improvise whole fuges playing the organ. Pretty impressive stuff.

I believe what theroman… was trying to say is that Bach might be the greatest, but that he most certainly never played the piano, only organ and harpsichord, maybe earlier types of keyboard instruments, but that the piano s you know it was net yet invented. Yes, Bach is amazing, and I think we can all agree on that as musicians. As a composer. I am not sure how he was as a performer. Probably alright, maybe great. Does anyone know?

well, hello my exotic friend:) I’m a musical school graduated, I’ve played piano a little bit and all my teachers were saying that J.S.Bach was definitely the greatest. Anyway, do your own choice.
