I prefer the violin concert version. However, great job.

Funny pianist :D

false. bach wrote so much for everything, and if he had a focus it was on keyboard instruments like harpsichord and organ

good THE pianist

Yeah, might be – I didn’t pay attention to the key itself. My point was that this composition is a violin concerto, not one for piano. The title is misleading, that’s all.

its clearly in g minor dude, listen

sednalkram62 on 29 November, 2008 at 6:12 pm #

Bach primarily wrote for the violin

thanks all for your insight into Bach’s performance skills. I should know this, but somehow it was missed in my music history classes. Which fugue is famous for having been just an improvisation of his? thanks! And lets all celebrate Mendelssohn, whose anniversary us coming up and who is responsible for bringing Bach back into fashion!

In his time he was for the most part only known as a great performer.

BRAVO!!

From what I’ve been told so far he was an organ virtuoso. He was also excellent in improvisation. He would improvise whole fuges playing the organ. Pretty impressive stuff.

I like bach style music

mad00002 on 10 December, 2008 at 6:33 pm #

This is not a piano concerto. This is Bach’s violin concerto in A minor played with a piano.

huongvehanoi on 12 December, 2008 at 11:02 pm #

Bach is also a great organ player.

un moment de pur bonheur!

I believe what theroman… was trying to say is that Bach might be the greatest, but that he most certainly never played the piano, only organ and harpsichord, maybe earlier types of keyboard instruments, but that the piano s you know it was net yet invented. Yes, Bach is amazing, and I think we can all agree on that as musicians. As a composer. I am not sure how he was as a performer. Probably alright, maybe great. Does anyone know?

i like bethoven more but that’s my opinion . If someone thumps me down I at least wanna know why , if you don’t do that than you’re really a dumbass , not knowing why you thumped me down or not daring to say why you thumped me down . =)

well, hello my exotic friend:) I’m a musical school graduated, I’ve played piano a little bit and all my teachers were saying that J.S.Bach was definitely the greatest. Anyway, do your own choice.
