It’s nice to see the evolution of classical music. You can hear the sounds getting brassier and brassier through part 1 and part 2
I think doing homework also got me into classical music because I started listening to the classical station to just ease my mind and relax it. Now I have probably over 100 classical CD’s! You can get them pretty cheap from NAXOS.
offenbach looks like the kinda guy who enjoys the night life. probably where he came up with the idea for can can
The reason few people favorited these videos is that excerpts don’t really make for a good song to listen to. None of us really care how cliche your taste can get, but if you put an entire song on that you particularly like (please not the fcking graduation song, way too played out; and for those of you who don’t know what song that is, it’s what you call the “wedding song”), that would be of more use to people.
One of the things that i always think when i hear Offenbach’s can can from Orpheus in the underworld overture is: “Poor percussionists” the percussion in the overture needs to execute it in such a fast tempo, full of fire and joy!
