lol sentence fragment you fail at your own attempt at pretentiousness. the internet has no grammar, it’s called context lolz, if you’re a grammar nazi, you should know what context is.
i love the cello as a bassist its so crazy to see them play so beautifully on an instrument that is so limited when it comes to range, like the playable part of the neck is so small
@ExSoldieCloud i think he’s great but he had to pretend to play the inauguration cuz it was too cold for the cello
My judo grand master’s daughter was taught by Yo-Yo Ma. Just sayin’
yo-yo ma is talented, no doubt, but i prefer Mischa Maisky
must u dumb fucks fight over grammar when a piece like this is playing
No, actually, it shouldn’t require supporting details. Anyone who knows and speaks correct English here should have noticed and understood the mistake. No need to explain the obvious.
Yes, I’m aware, thanks. However, the original comment of which I was referring to did not use the second comma. Because I was making the point of the incorrect grammar of the original comment posted by someone else, I followed suit by not using the second comma.
LordoftheHobbits, Hence, your comment isn’t making any sense because, you sound like you have problems with grammar. And yes, I think you have gotten quite carried away by being off cue . Because your sentence is incomplete without any given details supporting your statement, I find you do have a lapse in conscience.
Hmm. I was merely stating here. my critique of him…I don’t like Yo Yo Ma’s playing. I like Jacqueline Du Pre’s better. Yo Yo Ma is quite reserved, while Jacqueline is very expressive, and full of character. Yo Yo Ma seemed to be locked up inside his instrument while Jacqueline communicates openly? by using the cello as her voice” and you responded “You, my friend is not knowledgeable about grammar.” And I responded that I don’t know what the hell you are talking about.
I don’t usually do this, but honestly…
It’s “you, my friend,…”
The second comma is indeed important. Otherwise you would simply be clearing up who you’re talking to with the “you” and then telling a story about some friend of yours, rather than specifying the person you’re talking to as your friend.
If you’re going to correct grammar, please do it right and with due attention to detail.
Cheers.
I was mocking you slightly, although you didn’t notice. It’s incorrect to say “You, my friend is not,” you should have said “You, my friend are not.” It’s irrelevant but I was hoping you would see the joke.
I don’t know what you are talking about . Its usually the spelling that I have problems with. Anyway, it has nothing to do with the just critique I have of him. He is not impressive enough for me to have a positive review of him. When I saw him in concert, I didn’t feel the energy of his playing. I think you need to get a grip of the fact that I have the right to express my opinion of him. There are other artists who are better than him.
Yo yo ma is the best musician ever! He played for Obama at the inaguration…..i saw it at my school!! Yo yo ma needs to be my private teacher!! Hahahahahahhaaha!! i love this song!
Besides if this is fast you should see Rostropovich’s version… Woo he needs to chill.
Im not sure if all you people were watching the same video because this performance is stunning. This piece is supposed to be played this fast. If he played it any slower it would be way too long and annoying because it would drag. He’s going the appropriate tempo markings on the Suite and he’s a stellar performer.
You, my friend is not knowledgeable about grammar.
He plays this way to fast. It is supposed to be played slowly with passion, but he plays it like a robot on speed…
TheNewAlia, You, my friend is not knowledgeable about music. You know nothing about what makes a good cellist. Jacqueline DuPre was simply stunning. Yo yo ma lacks depth in his cello. He needs to offer a counterbalance toward the orchestra instead of blending right into it. The orchestra overpowers the cellist making them more prominent than the cellist. Jacqueline works with the orchestra by not being overpowered or to blend in entirely.

lol you are one in a million…i guess we can say, you’re an idiot
@ObsessedWithDragonz
The length is wat makes it beautiful! It adds to the feel almost like it keeps the song going in expression not just straight notes and rhythms.
we’re not talking about copyright… it’s the “other” own verb…
